Maddy's Fancy Cellini Spiral Green Necklace by Jewelrybyjane29

Maddy's Fancy Cellini Spiral Green Necklace by Jewelrybyjane29

This is my very first Cellini Spiral.  It took me many many unbillable hours to make this.  Unbillable because it was my very first and it took me longer than normal because I got distracted and had to go back many times because I would put the wrong color on and would notice until I got further along .   At this point not sure if I will attempt another one for a while, but probably will because it is a challenge to me and I love to conquer challenges.

Spring Breeze Flower Garden by Jewelrybyjane29 on Etsy

Description

The April Beadweavers challenge is about spring and the warm breezes. We were to create something that looks as bright, delicate and gentle as the first warm breezes of spring.

When I think of spring I think about the first flowers of the season, poking their way up through the fresh ground that was once frozen, and about their fragrant scent. That is why I created this spring flower garden enclosed by the lattice fence. The fence is made using Delica Rainbow green/yellow seed beads and adorned with Dyna-mite 8/0 beads. The flowers are made using the French bead and wire method.

The bracelet measures 6 1/2 x 2 1/2 inches

This is an original Jewelry by Jane 29 Design.

Cats Eye Blue Triangle Stitch 26 Inch Rope by Jewelrybyjane29

Cat"s Eye Blue Triangle Stitch 26 Inch Rope Necklace. This beautiful bold blue color will make you feel like royalty. It is made using grade A fiber optic glass cat's eye beads and Rainbow Blue, Jablonex Chez seed beads to match the cat's eye. The closure is a beaded toggle and loop.

Fiber optic glass cat's eye beads get their name from the unique way they refract light, resembling the oblong center of a cat's eye. These beads are top "A" grade fiber optic glass, expertly shaped with brilliant color and a well-defined "eye" line.

Blue is a difficult color to match the correct shade. If you are trying to match something send me a message with your address in it and I will send a sample bead to you so you can match the color.

This necklace matches Cats Eye Blue Triangle Stitch Bracelet

Dorothy Over the Rainbow and the Wizard of OZ by Jewelrybyjane29

Dorothy Over the Rainbow and the Wizard of OZ by Jewelrybyjane29

This fun rainbow colored piece represents what Dorothy in the Wizard of Oz could of worn when she went to Oz. It has hearts on it to represent the Tin Woodman, it has shades of pink and green to represent over the rainbow.

It is made for a child and measures 15 inches long. The beaded wrapped cabochon is a white mother of pearl measures 1/14 X 2 inches. The hearts are pink crazy lace agates. The baubles and cabochon pendant are both removable.

The challenge piece should be inspired by a known Fairytale. Every participant needs to describe in their listing what the inspiration and name of the Fairy Tale. The piece could represent absolutely anything: good or evil characters, flowers, objects, animals or places and castles, but in needs to be tied to a story.

The View From My Front Door

The View From My Front Door.

Yuck! While all of the outdoor enthusiasts are thrilled of this site, including all of the snowmobileers that will soon be zooming down the field, I do not particulary like the site. If it would only disappear as fast as it came it might be all right. But no, it has to stay around for a month or two and make the roads muddy and messy.

I know I should be happy more time to create, but I cannot do any creating in this atmosphere. Why you ask? I like solitude my creative mood is the greatest when I am alone in quiet. Certainly not quiet now, everyone is stuck at home, even the animals have chosen today to be frisky inside where it is dry.

Oh well, and this shall pass too! Someday!

Creativity

Did you know I usually make jewelry that I would wear? I believe this is because somewhere in my mind I think if they don't sell I can wear them>lol    I need to broaden my outlook and design pieces that are a little more out there.

I get asked how I design the pieces.  Well, usually I see a color pallet on a fabric or even nature, flowers mostly.  I also  see a beads or combination of beads that I absolutely love.  I leave them sitting on my bench until my mind sees the piece then I start making it.  Sometimes they sit for a short time but, sometimes they hang around for quite a while, but eventually they do get made.  And then those that don't get made and I loose the vision get put into a box with other lost visions.   I do have quite a collection of lost visions.  Then one day when I'm looking through my stash of beads I come upon a lost vision that gets reborn and gets made.  The above piece is one of those beads that have been sitting around for a very long time and I finally used them.

What happens to all of those tiny seed beads that you drop?

I am wondering what does happen to all of those tiny seed beads that fly into the air or drops on the floor.  Because I do not have an adequate work space right now, I am often using a TV tray in the living room.

The story behind that is;  Right at the moment my family and I are staying with my mother and I am giving her care so she doesn't have to go into a nursing home.  I have a wonderful husband that was willing to give up our rather nice life in the Ca desert and move to NH just to care for my mother until she passes.  Enough about that!

Now to get back onto the subject at hand.  I've found beadweaving has helped me to relax so I do it every moment I have free.  But those tiny beads do get away from me.  Many occasions when I thought I had enough to finish an item I was making only to find I need one or two more beads to finish.  That is when I dive onto the floor and crawl around searching the carpet.  My dog and cat think I am nuts, but oh where are those beads that fly off the needle!  After a while I will give up looking and go order more, only to find the missing beads days later, popping up from the carpet, under the cushion of the sofa, or in my pocket.  Yes, I have even found them in my pocket and in my shoe.

This Bracelet was created especially for the Etsy BeadWeavers challenge theme "The Ocean". Please visit the EBW blog etsy-beadweavers.blogspot.com/ , between the 9th and 15th to see all entries and vote for your favorite. To me this bracelet indicates the icy waves of the Northern Oceans. It is made in the basic spiral stitch, the center is of Delica Opaque Black Seed Beads and represents the dark water under it ice. The silver is Heishi Liquid Silver Beads and Sterling Silver round beads that I went back through twice and they represent Ice and cold cold water that shimmers in the sun. The bracelet measures 7 1/2 inches long and 3/8 inches wide.
